Bikini Art Museum: the place you must know

Founder of the first Museum dedicated to swimwear culture, Alexander Ruscheinsky reunited in Bad Rappenau, Germany, the biggest bikinis’ collection in the world. It contains the preserved handmade production of 1945 from the only and one Louis Réard, the bikini’s creator; beyond the most recent and extravagant bikinis you can find nowadays. Alexander takes you into the deep history of this important - and powerful - piece.

Louis Réard, a french engineer, was audacious when presented the tiniest clothing piece called bikini. His creation was so different and avangarde for that time (late 40s), that only only a show girl accepted use the piece. Just in 1950 the bikini became popular.

The museum has a collection of over 400 swimwear styles separated by decade and brands. Adriana Degreas has one of the biggest exclusive spaces, representing not only the Brazilian Swimwear but also the BAIN COUTURE, a nomenclature created by the media for her authorial and different creations, transforming the way people see bikinis, swimsuits and lifestyle.

The BAM created the Jandara Award to reward designers who stand out by bringing innovation to swimwear. Adriana Degreas won the Retro Category with your irreverent Metalized Bikini With Flowers from Summer 20 Collection.

Celebrating this news, the Notorious Magazine publicized "The bikini museum: All about the tiniest piece in your wardrobe", an article talking about the beautiful story of bikini and the special place Adriana Degreas has in the museum.

In a travel to Germany, don't miss the opportunity to visit this magnificent place.
